Damp survey completed by Dean this morning. I wasn’t sure what to expect but found him very professional and approachable. He answered all my queries with knowledge and common sense. Definitely recommend.

Dean was incredibly knowledgeable, great at explaining and also wonderfully reassuring. We had been nervous about getting some one in to look at the 2 problem areas in our house because of worrying about upselling things we didn't need or that were inappropriate for an old property. The report was very thorough and discussed maintenance and things we could do ourselves too. Would (and already have) recommended to others!

I called them because I thought we had a problem in our new place. They were brilliant and were able to reassure me from a photo that it was fine. So helpful and professional, and didn't try and sell me a survey when they could tell it wasn't necessary. I am really grateful. If we ever do have a damp or dry rot problem, this is the company we'll use.

Internal damp proofing works, some localised pointing and external masonry waterproofing.
As a couple in our 80s we were treated with respect throughout this survey and the work carried out. It is refreshing these days to be able to communicate directly with all the employees in this family run business. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Our thanks to everyone concerned.
After experiencing a major flood in the basement which is used as bedrooms Timber & Damp have installed a pumping system and carried out repairs to walls and flooring throughout.
The work was carried out professionally with respect to my home. The technicians left each day with areas tidy both in and outside of the property. A full survey was carried out before work was agreed. Dean took the time to explain what was required to prevent any further flooding. Can’t have asked for a better service. Thank you 😊

Professional, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly service from the entire team. From the initial enquiry and quote to finishing work on the site and receiving the guarantee we cannot fault this company. Each and every member of the team has been helpful, efficient and polite. Special mention though to the team that carried out the works. They worked hard the whole time they were here and gave us regular updates on progress, checked we were happy with what they were doing and always left the site tidy. They were a pleasure to work with. We had come across some really dodgy damp proofing companies before finding South East Timber and Damp proofing. They may not be the cheapest option, but they are by far the most knowledgeable and reliable making us confident that our basement room is finally dry and safe to use. We really cannot fault them, and thank you all for such a brilliant job well done. :)

After great service from Tracy in the office, Dean came out to assess the issue we were having with water ingress. He very quickly came up with the solution to the problem and provided a competitive quote for the work. We duly booked and Keiran and Ryan came out to do the works. Both were very personable and extremely tidy. The works were carried out very quickly and have solved the problem.
Really happy with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Water leak
Dean came out very quickly to look at our problem area and identified the issue. He gave us a very prompt quote, with which we were very happy.
Keiran and Ryan came and did the work of replacing the coping stones and were very tidy and efficient, the work being done to a very high standard.
Very pain-free from start to finish with excellent communication throughout.
Would not hesitate to use again and would recommend to anyone.

After booking a visit through Tracey in the office, Dean came out and inspected our problem area very quickly. He identified the problem area as bing external and the office staff provided a very reasonable quote. We booked a day with the firm and Kieran and Ruan came along to fix the issue. Both were very personable and very tidy. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently with no mess and has solved our problem. Would have no hesitation in booking the company again and would certainly recommend to friends
Great company! Dean came out to do a survey and figure out where our damp was coming from. He was really friendly, professional and knowledgable and got straight to the bottom of our issue, something multiple professionals before him were not able to do. The report they are pulling together will include a quote for the solution too. The team in the office are equally as friendly and professional. Highly recommend .

The surveyor Dean was an absolute gent. He put our minds at rest with our damp issues and explained in detail the reasons. He was very knowledgeable and understood the problems that can be encountered with period properties. The office staff were very courteous and kept us fully informed on appointment times etc. it’s so refreshing these days to be dealing with a family run company that really does put the customer’s best interest first. We moved into an Oast House in September 2023 and, although not advised at the time of purchase, South East Timber and damp had undertaken fairly extensive damproofing work in 2019. We contacted South East and Dean very helpfully came out to the property to tell us what work had been undertaken and also provide us with the information to allow transfer of the remaining balance of the guarantee. As part of our purchase process we had a full structural survey and this had not identified any material damp problems, so the work undertaken by South East is performing well and we would be very happy to engage them for any future work required.
Dean is an excellent knowledgable surveyor and gave me good practical advice. He was very honest and unlike many companies was not trying to paint a negative picture just to get money. He was very positive about my property and only recommended a few minor adjustments. As such if Dean recommends there is work you need doing I would trust his judgement. I recommend this company.

I cannot recommend Dean and his team highly enough!
After returning from holiday to a damp mess following heavy rainfall, Dean and his amazing team arrived at every appointment, from intro to job completion on time, with a plan, and treat our house with the upmost respect. Unbeknown to them they had a highly stressed client going through cancer treatment! Yet I never had to mention that once as they were just so considerate in doing the job so well.
