We very sadly had to make the decision to say goodbye to our beloved Flash last week. He had been struggling and we knew the time was coming. Our vet recommended contacting Rest your paws and what an incredible experience it has been. From initial contact with the service on the phone, the compassion, support and understanding we received was just so unexpected. Dr Winnie arrived and immediately Flash was at ease with her. She proceeded to listen to the story of Flashys journey, explained options and reassured us with her knowledge that it was the right time to say goodbye. I was heartbroken and questioning the decision and Dr Winnie compassionately and professionally was so reassuring. The service was peaceful and beautiful. Our Flash boy left us in the most serene way, surrounded by love in his home. I cannot recommend Rest your paws enough. At what is an awful time they have made the experience such a lovely last memory. Dr Winnie is a saint! And the team are angels. 100/10! Thank you all
Rest Your Paws truly made the most difficult decision as easy as possible. They were easy to book in, and Anna and Annabelle who helped us farewell our beloved Ariel were so gentle, kind and professional.
We had to farewell our family pup, Ariel, after a sudden illness and decline in quality of life just after Christmas. The heartbreak and grief was so very intense but Rest Your Paws supported us throughout.
Not only did they look after us and our pup, they treated her with so much love and respect in transporting her for cremation.
Farewelling Ariel into the great beyond was the most awful thing I've experienced, but thank you to Rest Your Paws for your support and extremely gentle euthanasia.
Through their partner, Buddy, Ariel came home to us in a beautiful urn. I will always be grateful for the compassion we and Ariel were shown.
We cannot thank Rest Your Paws enough for their help putting our dog Ben to rest. Our vet Dr Shayleigh was outstanding and we could not have asked for a more caring and peaceful end to Ben’s days. Everyone we dealt with were fantastic and we greatly appreciate what they did.
Thank You
Wayne & Frances Gant
I can't speak more highly about all the team at " Rest Your Paws".
Chloe was my first and only pet I've ever had and saying good-bye to her was the hardest and heartbreaking thing I've ever had to do.
The guidance, support and care," Rest Your Paws" showed towards me was second to none.
They showed so much love, empathy and genuine care for Chloe & myself.
Having a service like this come to my home made it feel so personal and comforting.
I can't recommend them enough if you too have to go through this time when you're having to say good-bye to your very special furry animal.
Thank you again
Diane

December 30th 2025 was the hardest day of my life when my soul dog, my beloved Marley suddenly declined and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to give him the gift of peace.
The team at Rest Your Paws, specifically Kristy and Dr Tanya, were absolutely amazing during such a painful time. It feels so weird to say this when this loss has been so devastating, but this has been by far the best customer service I have ever received in my life. From the moment I rang RYP sobbing and barely able to breathe - the patience, gentleness and heartfelt empathy from the team helped me survive that terrible day.
Dr Tanya spent time getting to know Marley, she didn't rush our goodbye, and treated Marley with so much respect. You could tell she genuinely cared. Rest Your Paws knows how hard and painful saying goodbye is, and they work so hard to make this experience as special as possible. I wish all of my furbabies could have gotten such a beautiful farewell.
Thank you for helping me give my boy the most perfect goodbye. The pain of losing Marley is still very raw and I don't know how I will ever recover, but I can truly say that I have no regrets about how Marley got to transition to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for everything
I lost my beautiful nine year old cat to an aggressive oral cancer last July.
As it was only three months between his diagnosis and passing, I didn’t get much time to prepare for and process his loss.
He was suffering deeply, but up until the day before I still hoped we would have more time together. I initially contacted Rest Your Paws for a Quality of Life Assessment, but after some discussion with the vet, we understood we couldn’t let him suffer any longer.
The Rest Your Paws vet was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly compassionate and patient with us and explained the process clearly. We never felt rushed or forced into a decision. We had as much time as we needed to say goodbye. He passed peacefully in our lounge room. There is absolutely no way I could have dealt with this in a veterinary clinic, and I’m so glad my beautiful cat didn’t have the added stress of being in an unfamiliar and loud environment in his last moments. Losing a much loved pet is a horrific experience, but it would have been so much worse if Rest Your Paws wasn’t there to help us through it. I really can’t emphasis enough how valuable this service is.
In addition to the vet, I also used Rest Your Paws grief counselling service, which was really beneficial for helping me process my emotions and allowed me to talk about my pet loss without fear of judgment.
Unfortunately, I’m not 100% certain of the vet’s name - I believe it was Kate. We’re based on the Central Coast, NSW. If she does read this, I would just like to thank her again for her kindness looking after our family during one of the worst days of our lives. It won’t be forgotten.
I cannot fault the care and compassion we received when dealing with our beautiful girl Zora. Her illness was brief and traumatic and when it was obvious she was not going to recover Dr Katie assisted her cross the rainbow bridge. Dr Katie gently confirmed our decision, and talked through every step of the process. Shaun then carefully arranged her transport. I cannot thank them enough for the time and care they spent with our beautiful girl
It was a privilege to have access to such a kind thoughtful service during a very difficult time. What stood out for us is the immediate response, after hours support and caring approach. During the process, Dr Winnie talked to us the whole time and explained each step to our pet. She helped us celebrate his life and grieve our loss. The checking in at each point of the process, taking her time for our pet to feel comfortable with her and the beautiful rituals throughout. We were able to show care and kindness during our pet’s last moments and this has really helped us process the loss and be at peace. We are very grateful. Thank you.
Our experience with Rest Your Paws exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend them.
Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beautiful boy, Ted. The service and experience we had during such a difficult moment was peaceful, respectful and perfect in every way.
Dr. Anna put us at ease immediately and was very caring and compassionate towards us and Ted.
It's never easy to say goodbye but this is best service and experience we have ever had. Thanks so much to Anna and the team for everything.
Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful, dear Toby who was 16 years old. Without the help of Dr Katie from Rest Your Paws and the lovely receptionist and their team, this day would have been very hard and difficult. We couldn’t have asked for better compassion, care and empathy from Dr Katie and her team. We know that Toby appreciates the care that they gave him in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. We are truly appreciative and grateful for everything that Rest Your Paws have done and would highly recommend this service to any pet owner who will face saying goodbye to their beloved pet one day. Rest in peace Toby, we love you.
Thank God this service exists!
Our family dog went downhill quite dramatically and quite fast and thank God I found the service on Google because it made the situation a lot easier. The Home euthanasia for our beloved Moo Moo yep that’s her name Moo Moo. Lol
It made it easier for everybody in the comfort of our own home with an amazing vet who came out called Chloe. She was so caring loving and really explained the procedure and walked a sore through it as a family and allowed us to grieve as well.
Honestly, I can’t speak more highly of this service and how important it is for pet owners and allowing our family dog of 16 years to pass in her own home around family
We recently had Dr Jess euthanise our dog. I have never experienced such exceptional service before. Her caring attitude, thoughtfulness, attention to even the smallest detail, providing us with pawprints and a keepsake and the way Dr Jess treated our dog as a princess in the most dignified way even as our companion left us made a very dark day for my family into a lovely memorable celebration of a beautiful kelpie's life.
I don’t think there are enough words for me to describe how wonderful this service was to me and my family. I work in the field of aged care and so wish we could have Rest your paws for humans. From the kind and sensitive approach from the administration helping to arrange a time to the wonderful Vet who came and held our hearts so gently as she not only helped our 15 year old cat leave this world on her favourite chair surrounded by her loving family in a gentle and calm environment. Winnie encouraged us to share stories about our Selina, even physically shielded our eyes with her body so we didn’t see medical intervention, after she was sedated. Providing and lighting a candle after checking with us, was yet another beautiful touch. But, one of the most memorable was placing Selina in a fluffy bed, covering her with a blanket and positioning her so she looked asleep and at rest, inviting us to walk with her to her car and see her place Selina in her car prepared with flowers was just so honoring of our beloved pet and the live our family had for her. Thank you Winnie and your team for your care and all the special steps you take. It means so much.
We genuinely do not have enough words to describe how incredible the team at Rest Your Paws were during the hardest day of our lives.
Our girl Kahlua was terminally ill, and making the decision to let her go was absolutely heartbreaking. From the very first phone call, we were met with so much empathy, kindness, and understanding. The woman we spoke with took the time to truly listen to us, to understand Kahlua’s situation, and helped reassure us that we were making the kindest decision. It never once felt like just another phone call. She carried the weight of the moment with us, and that meant more than we can express.
Dr. Winnie came to our home the following day, and she was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment she arrived, she treated Kahlua with such gentleness and respect. She sat on the floor with her, patting her, speaking to her, and making her feel completely at ease. She took the time to learn everything about Kahlua, her life, her quirks, what she loved, and what made her special. It was clear that Kahlua was not just another dog to her.
Every single detail was thought of. Dr. Winnie lit a candle with Kahlua’s name already written on it, took paw prints for every family member, and saved a lock of her fur for us. These were things we would never have had the clarity to think of ourselves, and it allowed us to simply be present with our girl while everything else was so thoughtfully handled.
The entire process was exactly as it was described to us, gentle, calm, and peaceful. Kahlua slipped away softly, without panic or distress, and we knew without a doubt that it was the right decision. Even after her passing, the care did not stop. Seeing her wrapped up in her bed with a rose, and later surrounded by flowers and candles, felt like a beautiful farewell. It felt like we were giving her the dignity and love she deserved.
What Rest Your Paws gave us was more than a service. They gave us peace, comfort, and a memory that, while incredibly sad, is also filled with warmth and gratitude. They turned a horrible day into something softer and gentler than we ever thought possible.
We will forever be thankful to Dr. Winnie and the entire Rest Your Paws team for the way they honoured our girl. We could not recommend them more highly to anyone facing the impossible task of saying goodbye to a beloved pet 🤍
