This was my first full year with Malone Coaching. Katie creates a strong team feeling with organized group rides and swims, fun meetups, and full immersion training camps. Her coaching and feedback helped me throughout my training and I met some greatly motivated and inspiring people along the way.
When I first met Katie, I could barely swim a lap in the pool. Even though I was a true beginner, she never made me feel “less than” and encouraged me while also challenging me. After working with her over the last 2 years, I’ve now successfully completed my first half and full Ironman distance races. I’ve also PR’d some local sprint races and podiumed in my age group(something I never thought would happen)! If you are willing to put in the work, Katie will coach you to where you need to be - and then some. Highly recommend Malone Coaching / Coach Katie to anyone who is interested in diving into the world of triathlon!
Coach Katie’s preparation and flexible scheduling of personalized workouts has been just what I needed. She has worked around my injuries, recovery times, and family vacations. Katie expresses genuine concern for me and gives great feedback. In the middle of her Ironman training program I had a cycling accident that required major surgery. With her guidance, I went from a wheelchair all the way back up to Ironman WC ready in 3 months. I can’t say enough to recommend Coach Katie to help you get ready to perform at your best!
I’ve only been training with Katie for a few months, but I’ve never felt so strong, both mentally & physically! Her workouts are very intentional and I’ve learned so much. She supports all her athletes goals, no matter how big. She also goes through a lot of the mental aspects of the sport and I’ve already started to be more confident than I was a few months ago! 10/10 recommend!!! :)

I personally was a college athlete, but could not swim more than a lap in a 25 yard pool when I started. This October, Katie prepared me over 6 months for Ironman 70.3 North Carolina, where I achieved my goal of going sub 6! She was an extreme help in being patient with me as a learned to swim and, ultimately, learn how to swim open water, a big fear of mine. She always made me feel comfortable and her open water sessions were some of my favorite training sessions!
My wife and I are both now addicted to endurance sports and triathlon - we can’t wait to continue under Katie’s amazing coaching.
