Rick is an awesome guy and loves these dogs and anyone that loves dogs can tell that’s why he does what he does. We picked up our pup last month, he coordinated the whole thing to make it easy for us to transport on the plane and she is loving her new home in Puerto Rico

I recently brought home my Doberman puppy from Lakewood Dobermans, and I couldn’t be happier! My puppy’s temperament is incredible. He’s calm, attentive, and unbelievably well-mannered for his age. He’s also very alert and intelligent, always tuned in to what’s going on around him but never overly reactive. You can tell he was raised with care, intention, and early socialization.
The ongoing support from Tony and Rick has also been wonderful, they truly care about their dogs and the families they go to. I’m so grateful to have found such reputable and kind breeders. We have been working with Rick for about a year and a half securing our now, 9 month old European Doberman. Rick was incredible to me and my family while we asked a million plus questions about his dogs, his process, the breed in general, the pros, the cons, our concerns…We had so many things we needed help with and Rick was beyond incredible for every call, every text, every email. He gave us informed decisions, he gave us resources and how to’s, and most importantly when we were ready and the time came, he gave us the greatest fur family member we could have ever dreamed of! Our girl lives amongst my husband and I, our three beautiful children, cats, and a tiny pug. She is the most beautifuly bred, kind, gentle, magestic animal I have ever had (don’t tell my other animals I said that😂) I can not say enough good things about our experience with Rick and the product of what he delivers, our baby, Maya Bunny is more than we ever could have imagined, we are all so madly in love with her, we get stopped constantly to have pictures or video taken of her and all of this is due to the incredible breeding that Rick guarantees from generations of profound knowledge, time, love, care, empathy and attention. It is an art and a craft to breed the way he does, I truly could go on an on in detail of how amazing he handled every aspect of his company, from the way he treats his customers to the way he cares for the Momma after birth, and the babies, to the after care etc. if this is your breed, I would not trust anyone else but Rick country wide for the purchase of a European Doberman. His breeding program exceeds all others, hands down.

Rick Pezzino from Lakewood Doberman has been an incredible source of support for me. He is exceptionally professional, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about this breed—never cutting corners in anything he does. He personally came to my home to help set up a Holter monitor for my Doberman, returned to remove it, and guided me through the submission process for reading. In today’s world, not many people would take the time to provide this level of hands-on care!
I also had the privilege of meeting one of his adult dogs, who is not only well-rounded but highly accomplished in the AKC competition world. Meeting one of his lively puppies was pure joy—clearly, Rick invests the time and effort to ensure his dogs are set up for success as they go out into the world.
As a trainer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several of the dogs from Lakewood Dobermans — from their breeding bitches all the way down to the puppies — and every single one has been a pleasure. Their dogs are consistently social, stable, and have an excellent drive for Dobermans.

The dogs Rick produces are top tier. Rick is very knowledgable and passionate in his work. His dogs are gorgeous and well rounded. I have been testing his dogs for AKC Canine Good Citizen certifications and all have passed with flying colors showing how well trained his dogs are. I highly recommend this breeder, he is the best Doberman breeder I have met.
