Health warning for any red-blooded man who likes power tools.
I popped into Chavda International purely because they were the only place in town that actually had sanding discs in stock. I’d never been there before. Big mistake. Huge mistake.
This place is basically a power-tool theme park. Makita, Hikoki, Bosch, Einhell, DeWalt, Festool… all there. Not behind glass. Not “we can order it”. In stock. I went in for sanding discs and ended up on a guided window-shopping tour because it wasn’t too busy — and the salesman clearly enjoyed enabling my bad habits.
Specialist kit? Kreg pocket-hole systems? Yup. Everything. At one point I forgot why I came in.
Cherry on top: I got to meet the owner. Properly friendly, genuinely interested, and happy to chat. And that’s what really stood out. I arrived looking like a dust-covered DIY cautionary tale, but the team still took the time to make sure I got exactly what I needed, showed me the range, and treated me like a human — not a transaction.
In an age where many hardware chains just want your money and the next customer, Chavda International feels like the way things should be done.
Will I be back?
Absolutely. Probably far sooner than my bank account would like.

I strongly recommend against buying anything from this Company whatsoever. It advertised goods on its website for a very good price, purchased the item and paid for it, only to receive a call from the Owner that he had made a mistake on the website, and that the items were priced substantially higher. I demanded that he complies with the contract, which he refused, and he immediately thereafter cancelled my order, without refunding me. This is click-bait advertising of the worst kind, and I have lodged a complaint with the Consumer Ombud and the SAPS Commercial Crimes Unit. Very unfortunate that the owner declined to comply with the contract after I was a regular client of his company. Never again!

We called each and everyone , everyone understood that you could not buy anything at 20% of the value
I called you and i only got an agressive attitude telling me you a lawyer and threatening me with Saps and the ombudsman , then you called me again and gave me more threats trying to extort the products from us , you very well knew you were paying R2000 for R 11000 worth of products and knew it was an error!
You were refunded in full minutes after our conversation yet you have the audacity to write and defame our company implying we are dishonest !

Came across them via online search for something I could not find locally. Used their Whatsapp chat, was responded to and given correct information within the minute. Order placed with assistance within 5 minutes. Received via courier and all in order, cheaper than I could get it here in Western Cape. A++, will do business with again.
