Wonderful experience at this bird store. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely care about the birds. They took their time explaining everything in detail, answered all my questions, and never rushed me.
You can tell they’re passionate and knowledgeable, and the birds are well cared for. It’s rare to find a place where people are this helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn more or find the right bird with confidence.
I used to bring my Umbrella Cockatoo in for grooming. The man who groomed was patient, kind and very thorough. My bird never had a problem going there until the day the female owner or manager assisted the groomer. I watched her as she gripped my bird by its neck to hold him still and my Bird freaked. Since then everytime I go into the store my bird would immediately see her and get scared. Before then he used to be so chill. Anyway the last couple of times the woman was entirely rude and just scared my bird sending him flying across the room. The times I went there it was never any trouble as long as she was not around. But I just stopped going.
Update-- July 2024, I tried the place again. Poor quality grooming. They use the same blood smeared nail clippers on each bird, no cleaning I between. Same generic paper scissors for wings. The same crusty emery board for beaks. Unsanitary and unprofessional. So sad how this place has gone down hill..
Cool place with unique birds. They take real good care of their birds and help you understand how to take care of them yourself.
The only drawback is this place is kind of overpriced. The owner can also be a little snooty at times which is why I gave four stars. Heaven forbid you come in an hour before they close, they make sure to let you know that they’re about to close and made me feel unwelcome. But they are overall nice.
I discovered this shop 11 years ago and I'm so glad I did! I have 3 birds purchased from them in the last 11 years - a lovebird that just turned 11, another lovebird that is 3, and my first cockatiel that my husband got me this past Christmas. The lovebirds are adorable, healthy and a joy to have. The cockatiel is about 8 months old and absolutely wonderful. Somewhere he picked up a mocking bird song and I love it!
The staff are always wonderful and helpful and they've got a huge selection of toys, food and cages. It's my go to bird store and I'll be going there for many years to come!
