Brilliant. A slight delay with delivery, only to be expected directly following the Christmas holidays but Trisha kept me informed of progress daily. When they confirmed the revised delivery date and time it arrived as promised, on time. The quality of the mdf was superb with plastic protection to the edges. Highly recommended.

❌ Read this before you order anything from this shop.
It’s the 7th of January. We ordered some stuff on the 16th of December… and it STILL hasn’t arrived.
Obviously, it was Christmas time, so we know this could have delayed it. But it still doesn’t change the fact that we’ve spent several hundred £££ on some building material we don’t even think we’re ever gonna get.
Not to mention, we have received NO email, phone call, apology, or at least an explanation as to why do we have to wait for so long.
So customer service: Minus 20 stars.
We tried calling the number, but all we got was an automated line confirming that our order is being processed. (Wow! 🤩)
Then we tried sending an email, and we did get some prompt responses… But all they said was that they don’t know when will our stuff get delivered.
(But they’ll update us! … Again… Wow! 🤩)
So we really don’t know what to do. And this obviously ruins our reputation as a building company because our client project is getting delayed.
Are we gonna have to buy the same thing we already paid for somewhere else? Apparently, yes…
I really hate writing negative reviews, but I believe that potential customers deserve to know how this company operates before they spend their hard earned money.
At the same time, I’m hoping that this review will get the company’s attention and that someone will finally tell us where is our delivery.

I have been a trade customer of MDF Direct for quite a while, placing perhaps a dozen orders over the last couple of years. My initial experiences were positive, but the last three orders I've placed have all gone wrong, one way or another.
None of the orders was particularly complicated, but the first order failed to ship on time, so I lost a day's work because of it.
The second order arrived without the edge banding that I'd requested, and MDF Direct suggested that I should arrange to stay home so their courier could collect the faulty boards, before they would consider sending out the replacements. Not only had a lost a day's work because the original delivery was incorrect, they thought it would be appropriate for me to stay at home and lose another day's labour so they could collect the boards, rather than sending out the replacements immediately as a gesture of goodwill.
In an attempt to avoid a similar experience, I placed my most recent order two weeks ahead of the job for which I needed the boards. MDF Direct took the money from my account on the 8th December, then failed to send me any kind of confirmation or acknowledgement of my order.
Having heard nothing, I contacted MDF Direct on the 17th December. My order had apparently been placed, and they had apparently sent out a cutting list for me to verify. The list never arrived in my email (inbox or spam), and no one emailed or called to follow up.
I confirmed the cutting list over the phone, and emphasised the importance of having the delivery arrive by the end of 21st December, in time for me to load it and use it for a job starting 8:00am on Monday 22nd December.
The staff at MDF Direct assured me that the order would be delivered on the 19th or 20th at the latest. I phoned each day to check that the order was still on track, and was once again reassured that delivery would take place on the 20th.
It is now the 20th, and after failing to receive a text confirming the delivery slot, I called MDF Direct again, only to be told that the order would not be delivered today. It is now (apparently) likely to arrive on Monday, which means I will lose another day's labour.
I understand that mistakes happen, and things slip through the net from time to time. I also like to give people and companies the benefit of the doubt, so I placed this final order despite the two preceding experiences which were deeply unsatisfactory.
Once again, MDF Direct have let me down, and cost me a third day of labour. Perhaps the most frustrating part is that I have had to chase them every step of the way; there seems to have been no proactivity on their part whatsoever.
As someone who relies on suppliers like this to earn my living, I would strongly suggest you go elsewhere for your MDF, MFC and other sheet material. You might get lucky, but if my recent experience is anything to go by, you are almost certainly going to be let down.

Up until now I’ve ordered multiple times and generally been very happy with their service. This time I’ve been palmed off with substandard product (cheap construction ply veneered with oak vs furniture grade ply veneered with oak which is what their website showed and that I ordered and paid a premium for). Lack of responsiveness now to resolve my issue. Poor show. No longer can recommend them.

Shocking first & last experience with MDF direct.
HORRIFIC QUALITY MELAMINE BOARDS.
Firstly, my delivery date kept changing - this wouldn’t have been a massive issue if they kept me in the loop, however, the Monday it was meant to arrive I got informed that it wasn’t arriving that day until 6:30pm (I took the day off the receive the order) then on Wednesday it was meant to arrive (under their advice) so I took the day off, for it not to arrive. The same occurred Thursday. On Friday (yesterday) my order arrived at 6:30pm - not the end of the world as I was advised this.
The quality of these melamine boards are horrific. I went through MDF direct due to the good reviews and wanting quality boards.
Out of 10 sheets only 1 of them doesn’t have damage.
I’m a small, start up, built-in furniture company and they have done nothing but mess me around and make me look like an idiot.
I know melamine is known for chipping but for a company that supplies high quantities of the material surely you would know how to cut the stuff without damaging it?
Need the issue resolved otherwise will have to do a small claims case against them for all materials, as well as, the three days I took off to receive the order and it didn’t show.
We’re very sorry to read this and fully acknowledge the disruption caused by the repeated delivery changes and poor communication. We understand the impact this has had on your business and the inconvenience of taking multiple days off unnecessarily.
We are also concerned by your comments regarding the condition of the boards. While melamine can be prone to chipping, the level of damage you describe is not acceptable and will be investigated. We will also make sure to take steps so this won't happen again.
One of my colleagues will review your order, the cutting process, and the delivery handling so this can be resolved properly, and will advise her to contact you as soon as possible.

Fantastic service. I didn't have a particularly large order but MDF Direct were still able to accommodate it. Reasonable shipping costs and brilliant communication along the way. Email confirmation of order, email confirmation of delivery estimate, two phone calls and an SMS to inform me of delivery times at the weekend. Item itself arrived undamaged and accurately cut. Would happily use again.

Communication with Krysa was very good from the moment I placed the order but delivery failed twice... I was told the order would be delivered yesterday and waited at home the whole day.... No delivery came... I was then sent anotjer SMS that I would get the order today... Waited a whole day again and nothing turned up..... Not happy... If I am not going to get the order then don't send me a message with a definitive time when the order will order.... Surely if an order is missed the day before then it should take priority the following day... Very frustrating and not happy as I need the materials to get on with some work...

The Cemento finish MDF with edging was exactly what the customer wanted and looks amazing now the job is all finished.
I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately the delivery took longer than the 2-3 days advertised on the website site and wasn't wrapped was id expect it to be, although luckily there was no damage to the boards.
When I called the office it was handled well.
And they said they would take on board what is said.
Hopefully next time the delivery and wrapping will be better.
Will be using again as the product was spot on.
