This place should not be called a sanctuary. The programs offered here are not ethical and do not follow the basic principles that define a real elephant sanctuary. Washing elephants, immersing them in mud, and guiding them through repetitive activities according to a fixed schedule are clearly organized for tourists, not for the well being of the animals. This is not conservation, it is entertainment.
Using the term “sanctuary” in this context is misleading. A more honest definition would be something closer to a circus, as the elephants are required to participate in structured activities designed for visitors rather than being allowed to behave naturally and freely. There is no option for quiet, respectful observation of elephants in their natural habitat, which is one of the core values of ethical wildlife tourism.
In addition to being unethical, the programs are also extremely expensive for what is offered. Visitors pay high prices for staged interactions, while being denied the possibility of simply observing elephants living without constant human intervention. This combination of poor ethics and high cost makes the experience deeply disappointing.
For these reasons, I believe this establishment should either completely reformulate its activities from the ground up, following genuine sanctuary standards, or stop operating under the false label of a sanctuary altogether. Promoting animal welfare requires responsibility and transparency, not marketing language that hides exploitation behind attractive words.
It was a truly wonderful experience, and I’m delighted that l have choosen this elephant sanctuary. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the close, personal encounter with the elephants made it especially memorable. The elephants were also super kind a playful. It was an outstanding experience overall

"Uwaga! Green Elephant Sanctuary Park jest ZAMKNIĘTE. Nie dajcie się nabrać na stare, dobre opinie. Właściciel okazał się oszustem i po skandalicznym zachowaniu wobec miejscowych został przez nich przegnany, a władze odebrały mu licencję.
Niestety, tuż obok powstało inne miejsce – Elephant Wildlife Sanctuary Phuket, które żeruje na nieświadomych turystach. Ludzie przyjeżdżają tutaj, myśląc, że trafiają do etycznego sanktuarium, a w rzeczywistości trafiają do sąsiedniego obiektu, gdzie słonie są tresowane i źle traktowane. To celowa pułapka na turystów. Jeśli zależy Wam na dobru zwierząt, omijajcie tę okolicę szerokim łukiem i szukajcie certyfikowanych, prawdziwie etycznych miejsc!"
Bei unserer ersten Führung waren wir zusammen mit einer vierköpfige Familie die einzigen Gäste im Park, weswegen wir die Zeit bei den Tieren in aller Ruhe genießen konnten, während wir vom Parkmanager ausführlich mit Informationen über die Tiere, die Pflege(r) und die Einrichtung versorgt wurden.
Für mich war es ein tolles Erlebnis die Elefanten aus nächster Nähe zu sehen und Ihnen ein wenig Nahrung anbieten zu dürfen.
Beim zweiten Besuch war etwas mehr los ("normaler Betrieb") was das Erlebnis nicht geschmälert hat. Den anderen Gästen beim füttern zuzuschauen war mindestens genau so schön.
