It has been almost impossible to write this review though attempts were made.. With sincere gratitude for outstanding services I must impress upon every Furbaby Parent to PLEASE look no further than Compassion Care Pet Aquamation Inc., Oceanside, New York to care for your FurFamily..
A Five Star rating just isn't enough in both my experiences. Where the transparent, old-fashioned, client-as-priority service mentality, is near to impossible to find, the level of care and professionalism CCPA provides stands out in neon.
With my two Angels Asia, 22, and Cuna, 20, passing about two years apart, the pain is indescribable and CCPA came through for both my girls. A true White Glove experience.
I delivered Asia myself, since I was still dealing with separation anxiety, but CCPA does offer seamless door-to-door service. The family at CCPA are all and individually the kindest warmest souls. I felt at the time for Cuna, and most recently Asia, that the most thoughtful caring hands were at CCPA, and again, I was correct. From the generosity of the team members taking time to explain every nuance of the Aquamation process, to the variety of available services offered, to the comforting phone exchanges with Alan, to the gentle care afforded to me as a furparent, all the above helped tremendously to ease my anxiety. Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation, are above and beyond accommodating. I had requested a few things and all were executed perfectly. Asia's paw print, lock of hair (I asked for as much as a wig!), to mixing Asia's ashes with her siblings, as well as her AquaLife Fertilizer. I especially wanted Asia's urn plaque inscribed, very specifically, and I must say the outcome was beautiful, truly elegant, thank you again to Chrissy, you are an Artist. When I arrived to recover Asia, Jim had everything organized and ready. I was so thankful for the attention to detail from this team. It is clear that Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation is committed to excellence, providing exceptional services, with the utmost care, and with superior quality control. I mourn everyday but I have tremendous comfort that I gave my furchildren absolute love and care even after they crossed the Rainbow Bridge..
We are deeply grateful for the aquamation services provided. From start to finish, the communication was clear, timely, and incredibly thoughtful. During such a difficult time with our dog Mimi passing, their compassion and understanding truly made a difference. Every step was handled with dignity, respect, and care, which brought our family comfort and peace. It was evident that they genuinely care about the families they serve, not just the service itself. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking a gentle, respectful, and compassionate farewell for their loved one.
In the midst of my grief, I found this place, and based on the reviews, I felt confident enough to call. From the very first moment, Jim provided me with all the information I needed. And it truly was a relief. If you've lost your best friend, don't hesitate to come here. Today I picked up my baby and I'm taking her home ♥️ Thank you so much for everything!!!
Generally, it takes a lot to have me review a company. Life gets busy, but in this case, I have been so touched both personally and professionally as to the quality of this company, I had to write. They are not only extremely professional, staying in touch with you / getting back to you re: concerns. They deeply care about what they are doing.
I love that it’s a family of workers, not only committed to dog-loving people, but who also have great respect for Mother Earth! From team members answering calls, all the way to the pick up person, I experienced great care for my very special dog.
I found them when visiting Brooklyn, so felt blessed when they came all the way to New Jersey to help —even to a vet who hadn’t ever used anyone outside their own cremation company. Fortunately, my Vet’s management head knew of their excellence— so for the first time they okayed letting a cremation service outside of the one they routinely use. Every single detail was handled beautifully and with care, as their support team backs their deep feelings. My guess is they will grow by leaps and bounds, so… If there is a wait- It’s worth it.
We can’t predict our dog’s final time, but having a plan set up with a few options brought me great peace. Thanks so much! NS
My dog had become very sick, and I knew his time was approaching. I called Compassionate Care and spoke with Alan. Not only was he incredibly informative and thorough in explaining everything, but the way he spoke to me during one of the hardest phone calls I’ve ever had to make is what truly sold me on this place. He was patient, empathetic, and deeply understanding, allowing me to take my time through the sobs and emotions.
Unfortunately and unexpectedly, my dog passed away the very next day. When I called Alan again, he was nothing but accommodating. He waited for us even though they were closing and welcomed us with genuine sympathy and care. He took his time going through everything with us and gave us the space and time we needed to say our goodbyes.
I have since received my dog’s ashes, urn, and the additional keepsakes we had requested, and everything was exactly as promised. I would sincerely recommend this place to anyone looking to give their beloved pet a proper and dignified send-off. Choosing Compassionate Care was the last honorable thing I could do for my Crixus, and I am deeply grateful for the care and compassion they showed us during such a painful time.
For starters, the name is very appropriate because these are very kind and compassionate people.... which is so appreciated when you are grieving a loss. I brought both my dogs here, 3 yrs apart. They were very easy to work with and made a heartbreaking process a little easier to bear. If you can, buy the liquid essence as well. I had a magnolia tree that just wouldn't thrive. It was planted it in memory of my dad after he passed. He and my Jada were best buds so I used her liquid essence to water the magnolia, symbolic of them being together again. Well..... that tree grew several feet over the next 2yrs!!! That tells you all you need know!!
We lost our family dog of 16 years suddenly overnight. We were not sure what to do and our vet was closed. A local Reddit thread led me to compassionate care and so happy it did.
Jim and the team were so kind throughout every step of the process. We were provided with great/considerate service, filled with care for us and our pet.
Max is now back home and we are thankful for the team at Compassionate Care that made a very tough situation just a bit easier transition for the family.
Truly kind, gentle, and compassionate people. When my pet passed away, I was overwhelmed and heartbroken. Even though it was after hours, they still answered my call and waited for me despite the long drive from Brooklyn. They treated both my pet and my emotions with so much care and patience. I’m deeply grateful and highly recommend them.
This place only cares about money and nothing else. Alan seemed nice initially and was very responsive. After we brought our dog in and paid, that's where it all ended. I reached out a few days later just to check and make sure everything was okay, to which he snapped back and me saying he had already explained the process to me (I have the text messages). He said he would keep me posted but I never heard back from him. I had to follow up multiple times over a week later, each time Alan telling me he would get back to me and he never did. Every time I spoke with him he clearly did not remember me or my dog and was very condescending. Don't go to this place, they pretend to care about you and your pet but only care about money. Once they have it, they couldn't care less about you.
*Your response only confirms you still don’t remember me or my dog after having had to call you multiple times about him this past week.

When someone leaves a review, they usually have a last name unless they have something to hide. I cannot find an "Ernie" in our system at all and whether this review is real or not, saying we only care about money and nothing else is not only offensive but dishonest. This is coming from an individual who after previewing his file has left 26 - 1 and 2 star reviews for a multitude of businesses. Some people are never happy unless they are complaining. Thankfully we have over 400+ reviews that tell a very different story. This is a person that hides behind a computer at home where its easy not to be seen and easy to make hateful comments. It's one day prior to Xmas Eve when I received this malicious and unwarranted message. Merry Xmas Ernie and truly sorry your experience was not 5-star. Call me directly if you want to work this out because if I had a last name which you seem you don't want it known, I'd surely be calling you.
We recently found out our beloved Cenzo had final stage heart disease. Beyond doing everything we could for our baby, his time had come to say goodbye. We reached out to Paws at Peace, scheduled euthanizatiion, and was referred to Compassionate Care for Aquamation.
There was a miscommunication for the transport of our baby from our home to the facility, and there was an hour and a half wait time for transport to arrive. It was a hard 90 minutes to endure.
When speaking to Alan, owner/operator of the facility, I soon realized there couldn't have been a more patient and compassionate person for the job. He went above and beyond to console me through the devastating loss I was going through. He was kind, understanding and more than accomodating in getting my Cenzo back to me quickly, in an absolutely magnificent urn so I can cherish him forever.
I strongly recommend this service to anyone going through the loss of an extended family member. Alan took the time to personally speak with me, console me, and accomodate my every need.
Losing a pet is devastating, but Alan and the rest of the team make the process seamless. Thank all of you for your kindness and compassion.
From the first phone call thru bringing my girls’ remains home, I was met with kindness, compassion, patience and professionalism. You just know that you’re leaving your loved one in good hands. It just makes so much more sense!
I hope to not need them soon, but I will remain their extremely satisfied customer!
Waking up one morning to find our beloved dog passed away was absolutely horrific and difficult to process. Never having dealt with this in the past, we found Compassionate Care Pet Aquamation. Immediately from when we called them, they were kind and handled us with love and care. They took us in that day, and every interaction with them was welcoming and friendly. We knew that our Sadie would be in good care throughout the entire aquamation process. The facility was clean. Jim and Allen went above and beyond to make it as calming and easy as possible. They reminded us that when you’ve given your pet the best life, they deserve the best care until the very end—and this service felt far more thoughtful and gentle than a traditional cremation. They called us after the aquamation was completed, and we went back in to pick up our personally inscribed urn. The entire process was what we had hoped, and we would recommend them to everyone.
My dear Hayden met an untimely death. Alan and Jim were very compassionate throughout the process. I am grateful that we have Hayden's ashes, 2 types of his actual pawprints, and a heart necklace, holding his remains that will literally allow me to keep him close to my heart forever! Thank you so much for taking care and preserving my cat of 18.5 years of age--my darling Hayden!!! I recommend Compassionate Care to everyone and it was the best way to say good-bye to my forever son and my daughter's forever brother, Hayden! Thank you so much!
These folks are here for you on one of the worst days you’ll have. But they do their absolute best to help you get through it. Jim is kind and compassionate, he’ll take the time one on one to learn about your departed pet, he’ll share your memories as you talk. Their service is gentle and friendly. They arrange times so you are on your own with them, you can spend some final minutes with your pet before leaving them in caring capable hands. It was a process made as pain free as possible. Have no concerns, Compassionate Care isn’t just a name here.
