I cannot speak more highly for all the team at Wellness on Shore. I was so nervous to start exercising after a serious health condition but found Emma VERY knowledgeable and understanding. That was 18 months ago. I still train twice a week with Mauricio and Lisa and am feeling strong and healthy. I love the way each session is tailored to you personally and that you never feel uncomfortable pain after training.

I was diagnosed with scoliosis in my late teens and managed pain and daily life activities as best as I could, attending physio when my pain was too much. My symptoms worsened in 2020 and I was recommended to undergo spinal realignment surgery. I decided to have a less invasive procedure as a first step, correcting a vertebrae that was out of alignment through a spinal fusion, leaving a second surgery on the cards.
My husband and I wanted to engage a trainer to help us prepare for our upcoming wedding, that’s when I found Emma and honestly, it changed everything.
From day one, Emma took the time to really understand me and created a personalised program focused on strengthening my muscles and my mobility - exceeding our brief of helping my husband and I just look better for our wedding.
Loving our sessions with Emma, we decided to continue, now completing two couples sessions per week with home exercises and swimming incorporated into our program.
What I love most is how Emma makes every session feel achievable – giving us stretch goals and never pushing too hard, but always encouraging us to take that next step, focussing on safety and technique.
It’s been over two years training with Emma and I can say the transformation has been incredible! My body feels so much stronger and my posture has improved. Simple things like sitting and standing at my desk all day or carrying groceries no longer leaves me in agonising pain. If I do have a little flare up, we incorporate remedial massage into our week/s to set me right again. The best outcome is that I have avoided a potential further surgery, having my recent five year post-op review with my surgeon who is so happy with my recovery he doesn’t feel the need to see me for another five years.
Beyond the physical changes, Emma has helped me completely shift my approach to health and wellness. Emma doesn’t just focus on exercise, we also work together on my diet and having a positive mindset.
I went from feeling limited by my scoliosis and back pain to feeling stronger and more confident. Another plus, through Emma’s encouragement and gentle persistence, I have even made it into the pool, which my surgeon has been trying to get me to do for at least the last ten years!

I can’t rate this studio high enough. It’s a wonderful, private, personalised experience. I train mostly with Emma, but have also had sessions with other trainers at the studio. All have been wonderful. Their focus for me was on strengthening my whole body and ensuring that I was correctly performing every excercise, not just completing reps. Coupled with that, they also offer therapeutic massage. It’s a wonderful studio. I started on one session per week but have built to two. I can really see the positive affect (and so can my zippers).
I've been training at Wellness On Shore twice a week for a few months now and I love it. When I first started I hadn't exercised for a long time so I was a bit nervous but Emma put me at ease right away. I like how my sessions are tailored to the type of exercise I enjoy, lifting weights over cardio.
As someone who is often working on a laptop, my posture was terrible. Emma incorporated particular exercises to strengthen certain muscles and as a result, my posture has improved dramatically.
I've seen a huge improvement in myself since coming here, I'm much stronger but also happier in general and I look forward to the next session.
